Archival search request
If you require a copy of building plans that have been approved for your property, you can arrange for Council to retrieve previously submitted building plans from its archives. We can search for any plans that have previously been submitted to Council. The records are kept either at the Town's Administration centre, or offsite with the City of Perth.
To access plans, a request fee of $75 is required. If you need the search done urgently you can pay a request fee of $200 and the plans will be available within 48 hours, provided it is not requested on a Friday.
The weekly cut-off to request plans from archives is 5pm every Wednesday. Once a week we will collect the requested plans from our archives. Should you choose to collect the plans, we will contact you when they are ready to be collected.
Copies of plans are an additional cost to the request fee and will be charged in accordance with the Schedule of Fees and Charges(PDF, 166KB). We will advise you if payment for copies of plans is required.
If the plans are not found, the cost of the search will not be refunded. Please note that Council is not able to guarantee which documents are in the envelopes.
