It’s time to grab a bargain, relive the memories, declutter and finally use those shop-keeper skills you practised as a child – Garage Sale Trail is back this year for a whole weekend, on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 October.

The Garage Sale Trail gives households, schools and community groups the opportunity to turn their unwanted goods into cash. It is also a chance for bargain hunters to shop around and relish the feeling that can only come from finding the perfect piece of pre-loved treasure.

Deputy Mayor Brian Oliver is calling for the people of the Town of Victoria Park to put the Town on the Garage Sale Trail map.

“Last year we had 97 registered sales in the Town for the one-day event – it would be great to see a significant increase in registrations this year,” said the Deputy Mayor.

“This event is a chance to live our vision of leading in sustainability, and being a connected, thriving community.

“Reducing waste is a priority for the Town of Victoria Park and this is a fun and social way to bring awareness to the issue.”

Anyone can register, with over 15,000+ garage sales and stalls expected to participate nationally to declutter excess stuff in their homes, connect with the local community and make some pocket money for themselves or their favourite cause.

Sellers and shoppers can register for free from Thursday 10 August at garagesaletrail.com.au
