From Monday 3 July to late-July 2017 utility works will be undertaken along the shared pedestrian pathway to the south of the Swan River Pedestrian Bridge construction site, Burswood Peninsula side.
While the works are being undertaken, the shared pedestrian pathway in that area will be diverted onto a temporary shared path. See the detour map below.
The newly constructed temporary shared path is same width as the current path in place, asphalted and fenced off from the surrounding construction sites (as is the existing shared pedestrian pathway in this area).
Signage is in place at both ends of the diversion notifying path users of the change in path and recommending cyclists dismount due two tight corners included in the temporary path.
At the conclusion of the works the shared pedestrian pathway adjacent to the Swan River will re-open and the path diversion will close.
