Rates Prize Draw Terms and Conditions 2012
1. This competition is a promotion run by the Town of Victoria Park (“Promoter”)
2. Entries and information on prizes and how to enter form part of these Terms and Conditions.
3. Participation in this competition constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
4. The competition is open to ratepayers of the Town of Victoria Park, who pay the full amount due as listed on their 2012 rates notice before 12am WST Saturday 29 September 2012.
5. Payment must be received before the closing date to go into the draw. No responsibility is accepted for late, lost or misdirected payments.
6. The competition commences 17 August 2012 and closes 12am WST 29 September 2012. The competition will be drawn at 3pm WST on Monday 1 October 2012 at the Town Administration Building, 99 Shepperton Road, Victoria Park 6100.
7. There will be three winners chosen at random from a database of all eligible rate payments received. The winners will be randomly matched to a prize package. The promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
8. The three winners will be invited to attend an ordinary council meeting where they will be presented with their prize packages.
9. The three prize packages consist of:
A. Kustom Cupcakes Yummy Package (total value of $2527.50)
- $1000 cash from the Town of Victoria Park
- One year’s supply of cupcakes from Kustom Cupcakes in the form of one cupcake per day or one six-pack per week to be collected from the retail store at 4/156 Orrong Road, Lathlain 6100.
- Gourmet hamper from Nosh Gourmet to be collected at time of prize collection.
B. Kalbarri Beach Resort Package (total value of $2538.00)
- $1000 cash from the Town of Victoria Park
- Voucher for five nights’ accommodation at Kalbarri Beach Resort in a two bedroom self-contained apartment. Voucher is not valid during school holidays or long weekends and is not redeemable for cash. Voucher number must be quoted when booking. Bookings are essential.
- Two double passes to West Australian Symphony Orchestra performance of Rachmaninov and the Ring on 1 December 2012 at the Perth Concert Hall.
- Two double passes to a preview performance of Managing Carmen by David Williamson at the Black Swan Theatre Company on Saturday 10 November 2012 at 7.30pm at the State Theatre Centre – Heath Ledger Theatre.
C. Victoria Park Package (total value of $2203.90)
- $1000 cash from the Town of Victoria Park
- Overnight stay for two people in a Standard Queen Room at Crown Promenade Perth plus full buffet breakfast at Market & Co. Bookings essential as per the certificate. Valid until 30 December 2012. Subject to availability. Not redeemable for cash, non-transferable and cannot be re-issued or extended.
- $100 gift voucher to spend at Simply Fabulous boutique locate d at 257A Albany Highway Victoria Park 6100.
- Six month Maxilife membership to Leisurelife and Aqualife. Ony for use at Aqualife and Leisurelife Centres, non-transferable and not redeemable for cash. You must be at least 16 years old to use the membership. Six month membership starts when the membership is validated which must be done before 31 December 2012.
10. Prize components may alter at the discretion of the Promoter. The Promoter will not be liable for any change in the value of the prize between the date Rates Notices are issued and the date prizes are claimed.
11. The prizes are not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash.
12. The prizes are subject to availability and all other relevant Terms and Conditions.
13. The winners will be notified by phone, email or mail of their entry into the Rates Prize Draw Function, and sent a formal invitation to attend the Council Meeting. If a winner cannot attend or send a representative to the council meeting they will be advised following the event of their prize. Competition results will be published in the Southern Gazette Newspaper, Public Notice section on 9 October 2011.
14. Collection of prizes will be organised by the winner following notification of their winning entry. The Promoter will not be liable for any delivery or travel costs associated with claiming a prize. The winner must collect their prizes by 2 January 2013 or it will be judged forfeited.
15. The information that entrants provide will be used by the Promoter for the purpose of conducting the competition. By entering this competition entrants consent to the use of their contact details for the purposes described in this clause.
16. Photographs may be taken at the Council Meeting for marketing and media purposes and the Promoter has the right to use these images without seeking prior approval of the prize winner.
17. The Promoter will not be liable for any loss or damage or for any personal injury sustained as a result of taking the prize[s] or entering into this competition. The Promoter makes no representations or warranties as to the quality, suitability or merchantability or any goods or services offered as prizes.
