Community Art Projects

The Town also manages other Community Art Projects aligned with the Town’s Community Life Program.

The organisation embraces its very diverse community in striving to have a harmonious, enjoyable and active community where people have a strong sense of belonging.

The Community Life Program promotes community engagement, participation and capacity building at a local level. This is integral to enable the organisation to align itself to community visions for future growth, which in turn defines the unique and distinctive vibrancy and culture of Victoria Park.

In previous years the Town has invited Community groups or schools to create banners to represent the Town in the Banners in the Terrace competition. This has been done on a rotational basis, with the opportunity being presented to community based, primary and secondary schools, depending upon availability, the desired themes and available budget.
