The Town of Victoria Park now offers residents, businesses and visitors access to what is believed to be the longest continuous point-to-point stretch of free public WiFi in WA!
Whether on the run or sipping a cup of coffee, anyone located between the Albany Highway and Shepperton Road intersections will be able to access the internet with any mobile or desktop device.
Once logged into the WiFi network, users will be directed to the Town’s new mobile website www.lifeinthepark.com.au where they can choose to browse its content or continue with their own internet experience.
The mobile website is designed as an economic development tool to help promote local businesses as well as to create a user‑friendly access point of information for things to do within the Town.
The mobile website is intuitive, meaning it will alter its dimensions and layout to fit any screen size and device (mobile and desktop) making it very user friendly.
New features include “Near Me” which as assists users to find a variety of outlets nearby to them, a parking map and events listing page. A social media wall is currently being developed to pull all of the Town’s social media posts to one location. The hashtag #lifeinthepark will also appear in the newsfeed where users can keep their finger on the pulse of all things Vic Park!
