Emergency Management Arrangements
The Town of Victoria Park and City of Belmont have a joint Local Emergency Management Committee and share joint Emergency Management Arrangements. You can view the arrangements here.
The Committee maintains the City and Town’s readiness to assist Police, FESA and other agencies when they respond to an emergency. It also guides the local governments in making changes to reduce the risk associated with identified hazards.
In our area the top five hazards are identified as:
1. Criminal Act
2. Hazardous Material Incident
3. Severe Weather
4. Structural Fire
5. Air Crash
The Local Emergency Management Arrangements guide how we respond during and after an emergency.
The Town is specifically responsible for helping the community recover from an emergency event or Recovery Management.
