Advisory and Working Groups

The Town recognises the importance of engaging meaningfully with its community to ensure that its citizens are able to participate and influence the decision-making process. While there are many methods in which the Town promotes public participation and engages with its community, advisory groups are intended to give community members a formal avenue to advise Council on a specific matter, whilst working groups are intended to empower and support the community in delivering strategic outcomes in partnership with the Town.

Access and Inclusion Advisory Group

Mindeera Advisory Group

The Mindeera Advisory group is an advisory group that works towards reconciliation outcomes in the Town. The group meets bi-monthly and collaborates with town staff, stakeholders and community members to ensure that the Victoria Park community is a place where respect, recognition and reconciliation are key.

The purpose of the Hockey Working Group is to advise Council on the future sporting requirements of the Victoria Park Xavier Hockey Club.

Macmillan Precinct Master Plan Working Group

The Macmillan Precinct Masterplan Working Group will guide the progression of 'Stage 3 – Masterplan' with the objective of delivering the Masterplan Report to Council by December 2022.
