Services for seniors 

Connect Victoria Park – Village Hub  is currently running programs and activities for people aged 55+ online, with full instructions and support offered to get you participating online through your computer or phone – 9361 2904 

Connect Victoria Park – Neighbour to Neighbour Program is keeping Village Hub and community members in the Town social connected via regular phone calls. You can volunteer to make phone calls or request to receive phone calls – 9361 2904 

Harold Hawthorne Community Centre – Harry’s Diner is still open for take away meals and Meals on Wheels deliveries – 9470 1155  

Harold Hawthorne Community Centre – Home Support Services is continuing to offer home support services to seniors and people with disabilities including shopping with a list, welfare check, personal care, domestic assistance, individual social support, carer respite and garden maintenance – 9470 1155 

St Jude’s Health Care Services – In Home Support is offering a range of free support services to people over the age of 65 during COVID-19, fully funded by a Federal Government Grant. Services available include social support, shopping support, domestic assistance, personal care, in home respite, meal preparation and gardening – 9279 4343  

Multicultural services 

Communicare – Settle In Program provides information, assistance and support to refugees and humanitarian entrants who have arrived in Australian within the past five years. Email or call 9251 5777 

Riverview Community Services - Asylum Seeker Hub provides an access point for people seeking refuge to receive information and services from a range of agencies related to legal, psychological, welfare and social needs. Riverview also runs a free visa administration clinic in partnership with a pro bono legal service in Perth. Email or call 9416 0000.

CARAD provides essential welfare and advocacy support, including case work support, emergency relief and access to health care services, to asylum seekers, refugees and detainees in WA. Email or call 9227 7322 

Legal support 

Sussex Street Community Law Services provides financial counselling, assistance with public or private tenancy concerns and legal services in law, civil law, disability discrimination and welfare rights – 6253 9500 

Aboriginal Legal Service of WA provides legal representation and support services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in WA – 1800 019 900
