Plastic-free Vic Park
Plastic-free Vic Park is one of many sustainability-oriented projects that the Town is working on - together with its residents, community members, businesses, and visitors - to make our Town a healthier and cleaner place to live in and enjoy.
By going plastic-free, you’re also contributing to other environmentally friendly activities in the Town, including reducing the level of recyclable contaminants and waste, and better conditions for new trees to grow as part of our Urban Forest Strategy.
One of the first milestones for advancing Plastic-free Vic Park was a ban on single use plastic and polystyrene.
Since 31 December 2019, the Town’s facilities and all events held within the Town all adopt a single use plastic and polystyrene free approach.
