Our signature events

In 2022-23, the Town plans to deliver a broad range of events for our community and visitors to Victoria Park. Each event helps us to achieve our vision which forms part of our Event Strategy 2022-2026 - that Vic Park is loved, local and alive. 

Below are our signature events where the Town is the event organiser / producer. 


Business Awards

The Vic Park Business awards are a celebration of local businesses and are run annually by the Town. The awards provide the opportunity to local businesses to gain recognition for their achievements and showcase themselves to the wider community.

The 2022 Business Awards were held on Friday, 4 November at Mineral Resources Park. Stay tuned for next year's event! 

Remembrance Day


Every year, on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month we pause to remember the men and women who have died or suffered in all wars, conflicts, and peace operations.

Summer Street Party


The jewel in the crown of the Town’s event portfolio, the annual Summer Street Party is a much-loved community event that attracts thousands of attendees from near and far. Featuring live music and entertainment, food and market stalls, lots of local businesses, and family-friendly activities, this free event attracts significant visitation and economic benefits to our Town.

Music and Mistletoe 


This event celebrates the start of the festive season and is fully licensed with a pop-up bar allowing singles, families, and friends to get into the Christmas spirit!

The 2022 event took place on 9 December in Memorial Gardens. Stay tuned for more information on our 2023 event!

Twilight concert series


Our annual concert series offering two dedicated evenings of free live music and entertainment in the park for people of all ages to enjoy. 

Let’s get the music started on Saturday, 18 February at John MacMillan Park and Saturday, 26 March at Read Park. Keep your eyes peeled for more details coming soon...

Arts Season

The Town’s highly anticipated annual Arts Season is held throughout the month of April and celebrates local creatives, artists, and innovators. Each season, local, regional, national, and even international creatives bring a host of workshops, exhibitions, tours, activations, and more to inspire and intrigue. 

Look out for information on the program in early 2023.  



25 April is the dedicated date for Australians and New Zealanders, at home and overseas, to commemorate ANZAC Day. It is a day of national and international significance that gives people of all ages the opportunity to pause and reflect on the service and sacrifice made by those who have served and continue to serve, to defend our nation.

Join us on Tuesday, 25 April 2023 for our Dawn Service starting at 6am in Memorial Gardens in Victoria Park. More details to follow.

Dogs Breakfast


This event is everyone's favourite dogs’ day out, connecting neighbours, families and individuals with dogs to join in on a morning of market stalls, a pooch parade and to support local pet businesses. There's fun and yummy food for the whole family to enjoy (especially the fur-kids)!

Dog lovers and their furry friends are invited to join us on Sunday, 7 May 2023 at Koolbardi Park in Carlisle. Get your paws on more information coming early 2023. 

Citizenship ceremonies

The Town is proud to host monthly citizenship ceremonies on behalf of the Department of Home Affairs. It is the final step for residents living in the Town of Victoria Park in their journey to become an Australian citizen, by making their pledge at a citizenship ceremony event.

Events are by invitation only. 

Town Faithful


The Town’s celebration of residents who have lived, loved, and thrived in the Town for 50 years or more. The event acknowledges and celebrates members of the community who still reside in the Town and have played an important part in shaping Vic Park into what it is today.
