It’s easy to spend the day exploring the Curtin-Bentley area. If you are feeling artsy head to John Curtin Gallery or check out the public art and street art pieces throughout the Curtin University campus. For a bite to eat, check out the food trucks on campus or one of the many cafes. If you want to keep stretching your legs, head for a walk through the Jirdarup Bushland, which is well-known for its wildflowers and birds.
John Curtin Gallery
The John Curtin Gallery is located on Curtin University’s Bentley campus. Not only is it one of WA’s major public art galleries, it is also one of the largest and best equipped university galleries in the country.
Perth Hockey Stadium
Located within the Curtin University precinct, Perth Hockey Stadium is the place to go for professional hockey, as well as national and state competition games. There’s a bar and canteen to keep your energy up and the chance to watch hockey stars work their magic on their field.
The Jirdarup Bushlands are a haven for native plants, birds and city-dwellers needing some quality-time with nature. There’s information signs, public art and benches dotted throughout the bushland so you can linger on your walk. Dogs on leads are welcome to join the adventure on the marked walking trails.
