Leisure facilities FAQs

We are pleased to announce that Aqualife will be open to members and the community from Monday 25 May with the 25 metre indoor pool and a limited number of group fitness classes available.

Leisurelife will only be available for permanent bookings and businesses that work out of the centre from Tuesday 2 June.  

Our website is the main source for all information regarding reopening of the leisure facilities. We will also be communicating these via our other Town channels such as our Victoria Park Leisure Centres - Aqualife and Leisurelife Facebook page and e-newsletters. The Town will continue to follow the advice of the State Government. You can find a list of leisure facilities frequently asked questions below.  

 

Members' registration and bookings

How do members register for free access? 

  1. If you have previously accessed the members portal, click on the link to login https://secure.activecarrot.com/login?site=1195 and enter you details and click “Login”.
  2. If this is your first time using the members portal, click on the following link https://secure.activecarrot.com/login/forgot_password_alternate/1195 and enter in your email address to retrieve your password. Then follow the steps in your email to set up a new password
  3. To make sure you are granted free access, you must sign up for the free “Members Only Interim Pass” by hovering your mouse over “Buy Online” and clicking on “Memberships”.
  4. Find the free “Members Only Interim Pass” and click on “Buy”.
  5. Once you have read the terms of use click on the box then click on “Confirm and Pay” (There is no charge for this pass).

How do I book into a group fitness class or swim?

  1. All members must first register a Members Only Interim Pass before booking into a class, as described above. Once completed, log into the members portal and enter in your details and click “Login”
  2. Once you have register your Members Only Interim Pass, log into the members portal and enter in your details and click “Login”
  3. Hover your mouse over “Book Online” then click on the type of session you wish to book.
  4. Select the date of the booking, then click “Book” on the applicable session.
  5. Check you have selected the correct session then click on “Book Now”.
  6. A confirmation email will be sent to your nominated email address.

How many group fitness classes or swimming sessions can I book in advance?  

Three, you are only able to book three sessions at any one time. Members will only be able to book additional classes or sessions after the first class has been completed.

How do I cancel my booking?  

If you need to cancel a group fitness class or swim, please do so in your membership portal. We ask that you give at least 12 hours notice to allow someone else to participate. 

Community/non-member registration and bookings

How do I register to book in for a swim?  

  1. Click on the below link and register your details https://secure.activecarrot.com/public/prospect/register/1195
  2. Enter your details then click “Next” to complete your registration
  3. Log into the customer portal by click on the “here” link

How do I book in for a swim?

Safety and hygiene FAQs

How will the facilities manage social distancing?

The 25m indoor pool and group fitness studio has a limited number of people that can be in each area at a time. To manage the number of people in the facilities within a given period, the facilities have launched an online booking system to reduce overcrowding.

Signage and floor markings will also be placed around the facility to remind patrons to social distance.

How will the facilities manage who can attend?

All patrons must book via the online portal prior to entering the facilities. Both members and non-members will be required to check in at reception.

Why can’t I get changed or have a shower in the change rooms?

The restrictions from the State Government, only allow for toilets to be available. 

Are staff doing extra cleaning and how often?

Yes, the facilities have increased the level of cleaning each day. There will also be cleaning and sanitising stations throughout the facilities for patrons to use. 

 

Memberships and multipass FAQs

What happens to my Aqualife or Leisurelife membership?  

All memberships will remain on suspension during the first phase of reopening, no direct debit payments will be processed, and an extension will be automatically provided to upfront paying members.  

What happens if I want to cancel my membership?  

If a member wishes to cancel their membership during the closure, our standard cancellation terms will still apply. Members will be required to email through their cancellation to leisure@vicpark.wa.gov.au, and the new fees and charges will be applicable if members wish to renew at a later date.  

What will be happening with my multipass?  

Multipass expiry dates will be extended for the duration of the closure.  

 

Group fitness FAQs

What classes will be running on the temporary group fitness timetable?   

A copy of the Temporary Group Fitness Timetable(PDF, 149KB) can be found here. The group fitness class timetable has been heavily modified and includes only three sessions a day and class number limited to 20 people.  No group fitness classes will be running on the public holiday on 1 June 2020. 

Are there going to be any classes at Leisure?  

Not at this first stage. Online fitness classes and home work-outs will continue to be facilitated and made available on Facebook or Zoom. For more information please email leisure@vicpark.wa.gov.au.   

Can non-members participate in a group fitness class? 

At this stage, no. Due to number restrictions, only existing members will be able to book in for a class.   

Can I book three sessions for group fitness and three for the pool?  

No, you are only able to book three sessions at any one time.  

When will senior circuits be running at Leisurelife? 

All senior circuits are cancelled in the centre until further notice. Gym Instructors will continue to offer our senior members the opportunity to join our weekly online fitness classes on Zoom. Zoom fitness sessions are available to anyone, for more information, please email leisure@vicpark.wa.gov.au.   

Do I need to bring my own drink bottle? 

Yes, please bring your own water/drink bottles as the drinking fountains will not be able to be used.  

Is it safe?

We are following strict guidelines from the State Government and have a COVID-19 management plan in place. The studio and equipment is cleaned and disinfected before every group fitness class.   

Gym FAQs

I have a gym only membership can I do a group fitness class or swim?  

Yes, for a limited time only all members will be granted free access to the restricted services and programs. The Town’s focus is to encourage our members to engage in social and physical activities.   

When is the gym open?  

The gym at both Aqualife and Leisurelife will remain closed until further notice.  

Do I need to bring my own drink bottle? 

Yes, please bring your own water/drink bottles as the drinking fountains will not be able to be used.  

Is it safe?

Swimming FAQs

What times will the 25m indoor pool be available?

The 25m indoor pool will be available for members and community to book, for recreational swimming on the below times;

  • Mon - Fri 5.30am to 8pm 
  • Public holiday 8am to 4pm 


How much does it cost?  

All existing members will be granted free access to lap swimming sessions until further notice.  All non-members will be able to purchase a $4.80 casual entry to the swimming pool only.    

When will the hydrotherapy pool, spa and steam room open? 

Due to the social distancing rules the spa, steam room, hydro pool and leisure pool will remain closed until further notice.  

Will I have access to showers and changing rooms? 

Changing rooms and showers will be closed, the toilet will be available. 

Do I need to bring my own drink bottle? 

Yes, please bring your own water/drink bottles as the drinking fountains will not be able to be used.  

Swim School FAQs

What happens to my swim school classes and payments?  

All swimming lessons will remain suspended until further notice. All members will receive a credit for the remaining lessons in term 1, which can be redeemed once lessons resume within the facility.  

 

Crèche FAQs

Is the crèche open?  

No, the crèche at both Aqualife and Leisurelife will remain closed until further notice.   

 

Sport competitions FAQs

What will be happening with the social sporting competition?

Due to the contact nature of our social sporting competitions, all competitions will be cancelled until further notice.  

What will be happening with my nomination fees already paid for upcoming seasons? 

Fee adjustments will be made when the return date has been determined.  

Do I need to bring my own drink bottle? 

Yes, please bring your own water/drink bottles as the drinking fountains will not be able to be used. 

Can I come into Leisurelife and have a casual shoot on the sport courts?  

No, the facility will not be allowing casual access to our sports courts.
