Lathlain

Lathlain.jpg

Lathlain is a well-established residential area bounded by Great Eastern Highway, Orrong Road, Roberts Road and the Perth-Armadale railway. It has wide, tree-lined streets and attractive parks, including JA Lee Reserve and Rayment Park, as well as Mineral Resources Park, which since 1959 has been home to Western Australian Football League club, the Perth Demons football club, and is now the new headquarters for the West Coast Eagles football club.

Serviced by the Victoria Park and Burswood train stations (within walking distance), Lathlain has excellent access to the CBD and is very close to the attractions of the Burswood Peninsula and various amenities along Albany Highway.

Lathlain has two thriving local centres on Lathlain Place and Gallipoli Street (corner Howick Street), and a range of community spaces including schools, a community centre and a scout hall.

Place-planners.jpg

Tracy has over 20 years’ experience as a strategic town planner working mostly in local government across a diversity of topics to prepare long-term urban growth and planning strategies and locally-responsive place plans.  Tracy recently gained post-graduate qualifications in cultural heritage and looks forward to working with the community to ensure local places reflect the diversity of local values, now and into the future.

Favourite thing about Lathlain: My favourite thing about Lathlain is the tranquil character of the residential streets, the joy radiating from the community’s use of Rayment Reserve and the evolving character of Lathlain Place and Lathlain Park."
