Small Business Friendly initiative
The Town of Victoria Park is one of the first local government to take part in the Small Business Friendly initiative.
The initiative introduced by the Small Business Development Corporation (SBDC) aims to recognise local government authorities in Western Australia that are committed to actively supporting small businesses in their local area.
The Town has committed to a number of activities to support local business, including:
- Improve engagement with local businesses by allocating geographical areas for each of the Town’s ‘Place Leaders’.
- Increase local business engagement by improving the Town’s digital presence.
- Engage with and provide grants to ‘Town Teams’ to undertake appropriate initiatives.
- Establish three economic development campaigns to support local businesses.
