Unveiling of the Empty Arms – Broken Lives memorial sculptures


Please join us for the unveiling of the Empty Arms – Broken Lives memorial sculptures.

The memorial sculptures have been donated to the Town by the Association Representing Mothers Separated from their children by adoption (ARMS) through Department of Social Services funding, in commemoration of the Forced Adoptions apologies given by State and Federal Parliaments.

The unveiling date is the sixth anniversary of the National Apology for Forced Adoptions.

Read Park is easily accessible by public transport on Albany Highway and is located 850 metres from Victoria Park train station.

ACROD parking will be available on the reserve from Salford Street. Paid parking is available on Albany Highway and surrounding streets. Some free parking may also be available on surrounding streets. Please check parking signs.
