Council has resolved to create a community grant funding program in two parts.

$70,000 of funds unspent from the Community Development budget for this financial year has been reallocated to a COVID-19 response Community Grant Program to open for applications in May.

Another $50,000 has been repurposed from the Town’s Assets Budget to support those in the artistic and creative industries sector, who are based in the Town. $10,000 grants will be awarded to support to local artists and arts projects to be delivered between July and December 2020.

These grants are being offered in addition to the Town’s regular grants and donations programs. Groups and organisations that have received grants and donations funding in the past, are also eligible for this additional funding, provided they have fulfilled all reporting and acquittal requirements.

Up to $10,000 funding is now available for community groups and not-for-profits through our Restart Community Grants, part of the Restart Vic Park COVID-19 recovery strategy. The Community Restart fund has been created to support community projects and services facing exceptional challenges over the coming months. This funding aims to provide much needed support for the Town’s most vulnerable people.

Please read through the below guidelines before completing your online application. Applications close 5pm Friday 5 June. Successful applicants will be notified by Wednesday 17 June.
