The Town has a dynamic future and we are looking for enthusiastic, energetic and experienced Library Services Officers and Librarians for a casual recruitment pool.

 

Your new role

The focus of these casual positions will be to assist the provision of customer service as well as occasional program delivery as directed.

Some evening and weekend work may be required.

 

What you’ll need to succeed

Library Services Officer

  • exceptional customer service skills and the ability to work in a high functioning team
  • enthusiastic and proactive approach towards your work
  • previous experience in a public library and in the use of Library Management Systems e.g.: Spydus
  • experience using and showcasing the Western Australia Public Libraries Digital Media Collections
  • willingness to deliver Storytime, Baby Rhymetime and other sessions if required.

 

Librarian

  • experience in providing reference and information service and the ability to work in a high functioning team
  • experience in the supervision of staff
  • sound knowledge of the provision of public library services in Western Australia including VDX
  • experience using and showcasing the Western Australia Public Libraries Digital Media Collection
  • previous experience in the use of Library Management System Spydus
  • willingness to deliver Storytime, Baby Rhymetime and other sessions if required.

 

The benefits of working for us

Library Services Officer

$38.88 - $40.07 per hour (including 25% casual loading) dependent on experience, plus superannuation free gym and pool membership.

 

Librarian

$42.95-$45.58 per hour (including 25% casual loading) dependent on experience, plus superannuation free gym and pool membership.
