The Town has a dynamic future and we are looking for enthusiastic, energetic and experienced Information & Parking Officer and Rangers for a casual recruitment pool.

 

Your new role

The primary responsibility of the roles is to enforce Council’s Local Laws and various legislative requirements relating to parking, animals, litter and bushfire control.

 

What you’ll need to succeed

Information and Parking Officer

  • previous experience in a similar role is ideal, but not essential
  • knowledge of customer engagement processes including conflict resolution
  • ability to provide high quality customer service in dealing with the public
  • demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision
  • current ‘C’ class driver’s license
  • current National Police Clearance

 

Ranger

  • formal qualifications in Regulatory Officers Compliance Skills (ROCS) 1 & 2 or equivalent
  • excellent communication, negotiation, decision making and problem solving skills
  • dog and cat management experience including dog attack investigation, impoundments and issuing infringements
  • enforcement of Local Laws including breach investigation, prosecution and court appearances
  • demonstrated ability to effectively work within a team
  • ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • capacity to interpret and apply legislation and policies

 

The benefits of working for us

Information and Parking Officer

$40.75-$42.35 per hour (including 25% casual loading) dependent on experience, plus superannuation free gym and pool membership.

 

Ranger

$40.75-$45.58 per hour (including 25% casual loading) dependent on experience, plus superannuation free gym and pool membership.
