Calling all creatives to be part of the 2018 Victoria Park Arts Season

Published on 04 October 2017

The Town of Victoria Park is excited to present the Victoria Park Arts Season for the third year – with a whirlwind of events, activities, exhibitions, projects and initiatives covering all areas of the arts happening around the Town in April next year.

The Town is now seeking expressions of interest for people and groups to have their events and projects included in the Arts Season program, with applications for funding support now open.

An allocation of $20,000 in small grants is available for approved projects delivered by community groups, not-for-profit organisations, businesses and individuals (up to $5,000 each).

Mayor Trevor Vaughan is enthusiastic about once again supporting the local community.

“This Arts Season is a showcase of the best the Town has to offer in creativity, diversity, entertainment and innovation,” said Mayor Vaughan.

“The grants program is a really important element of the event, not just in terms of filling up the program, but in building the capacity of our community and helping groups and individuals deliver something they might not otherwise be able to.”

“I’m really proud of the success of this event over the past two years, and am looking forward to seeing an even bigger and better Arts Season in 2018” said Mayor Vaughan.

The Town is hosting an information session for anyone interested in learning more:
