Businesses in the Town of Victoria Park will compete to be named Business of the Year in the inaugural Vic Park Business Awards on 29 March.

The awards are an opportunity for local businesses to gain recognition for their contribution to the Town, and a chance for patrons to show their appreciation.

Launched earlier in the year, the awards recognise local businesses who have excelled in a variety of categories, including new business, marketing, tourism and hospitality, access and inclusion, digital innovation and community connection.

In addition, all businesses entered will be in the running to take out the Business of The Year Award and the People’s Choice Award.

Town Mayor Trevor Vaughan said the awards were an excellent way to recognise the many fantastic businesses that call Vic Park home.

“Our Town is made up of a large mix of businesses of all sizes, and is one of the main influences on how Vic Park has evolved to become the place it is today.

“Council is extremely pleased to formally recognise the positive impact these businesses have on our town and were overwhelmed by the number of nominations received, for the first awards program of its kind.

“It’s also pleasing to see fellow businesses nominating each other, which shows just how special Vic Park is.”

The Town received over 50 nominations for the inaugural awards. Businesses who went on to submit an entry have now been through the judging process with finalists for each category as follows:
