Beginning work in 2021, the Town has completed a raft of lighting upgrades throughout Carlisle and East Victoria Park, targeting priority areas nearby Carlisle and Oats Street train stations, and on Terminus Lane close to the Albany Highway entertainment strip.

the Town upgraded approximately 26 existing streetlights in Carlisle to LED lights, and installed around 35 new lighting poles with LED lights in East Victoria Park, all up improving lighting along approximately 3km of road.

The improvements, which are aimed at increasing community safety and utility, have been completed using a Community Development Grant of $300,000 from the Commonwealth Government.
