McCallum Park

McCallum Park

Alexander McCallum (1877-1937) was MLA for South Fremantle from 1921 to 1935. As Minister for Works, Water Supply, Sewerage and Drainage, his pet project was the reclamation of he Swan River foreshore.

McCallum Park and Taylor Reserve are located adjacent to each other on the foreshore of the Swan River. The large open spaces and the stunning backdrop of the Swan River and Perth City skyline make these parks perfect for large events and they are home to many charity, community and corporate events throughout the year.

Pedestrian Bridge Project

The Causeway Pedestrian and Cyclist Bridge is a Main Roads WA project, being delivered by the Causeway Link Alliance. Part of the project is taking place in McCallum Park and will offer a safe connection between the Perth CBD and Victoria Park, across the Swan River. Parts of McCallum Park will be closed from January 2023 until late 2024 whilst construction of the bridge takes place.

More information about this exciting project, including which areas of the park are temporarily closed, can be found here
