Environmental Protection Act 1986 - Notice of appealable decision

It is hereby notified for public information that the Chief Executive Officer of the Town of Victoria Park, acting under delegation from the CEO under the Environmental Protection Act 1986, has made the following appealable decision pursuant to Division 7 of the Environmental Protection (Noise) Regulations 1997, i n relation to an application for approval of a sporting, cultural or entertainment venue, namely the 'Notice of Venue Approval - Optus Stadium dated 3 February 2020:

(a) approval of the venue;
(b) the imposition of conditions on the approval of the venue; and
(c) the specification of the period of three years as the period for which the approval has effect.

Please note that this approval is an appealable decision. Any person who is aggrieved by the decision may lodge an appeal within 21 days from the date of publication of this notice in the Government Gazette (published 11/02/2020) and the grounds of appeal must be clearly stated. Appeals are to be addressed to the Minister for Environment and lodged with-
