MODIFIED LOCAL PLANNING SCHEME AMENDMENT AVAILABLE FOR INSPECTION - STANDARD AMENDMENT

TOWN PLANNING SCHEME NO. 1 – AMENDMENT NO. 56

Notice is hereby given that pursuant to clause 56 of the Planning and Development (Local Planning Schemes) Regulations 2015 the Local Government of the Town of Victoria Park has been directed by the Minister for Planning to advertise further modifications to Scheme Amendment No. 56. The requested modifications will result in the Town Planning Scheme Amendment being modified to the following:

  1. Classifying No. 2-8 (Lot 1002) Beatty Avenue, East Victoria Park as Town of Victoria Park Scheme Reserve “Parks and Recreation”.
  2. Modify the Town Planning Scheme No. 1 Precinct Plan P10 Shepperton Precinct accordingly.
  3. Nos. 6 & 7 (Lots 1003 & 1004) Raleigh Street and No. 45 (Lot 1005) Bishopsgate Street, Carlisle being transferred to the ‘Residential’ zone with a density coding of R60. [Note: In 2017, the Minister for Planning previously required the amendment to be modified to zone this land ‘Residential’ with a density coding of R30]
  4. The unzoned portions of the Rutland Avenue, Raleigh Street and Bishopsgate Street road reserves being transferred to the ‘Residential’ zone with a density coding of R30.
  5. Modify the Town Planning Scheme No. 1 Precinct Plan P8 Carlisle Precinct accordingly.

Plans and documents setting out and explaining the modified scheme amendment have been published in the following manner and will be available to view from 25 November 2021 to 21 January 2022:

  • A copy of the plans and documents are available on the Town of Victoria Park website at www.yourthoughts.vicpark.wa.gov.au/amendment56; and
  • A hardcopy of the plans and documents are available for inspection at the Town of Victoria Park Administration Centre, 99 Shepperton Road, Victoria Park, and the Victoria Park Library, 27 Sussex Street, East Victoria Park, during business hours.

Submissions on the planning scheme amendment may be lodged in writing and should include the amendment number, the name and address of the person making the submission, the property affected and details of the submission and lodged with the Town on or before 21 January 2022.

Please Note: The modified scheme amendment is available for inspection and public comment, prior to consideration by the Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC) and final determination by the Minister for Planning. Your written comments are welcome and will be considered by the Council who must pass a resolution on whether or not to support the amendment (with or without modification) prior to its determination by the Minister.
