Town Planning Scheme 1 – Amendment 88

Notice is hereby given that the local government of the Town of Victoria Park has prepared the above-mentioned scheme amendment for the purpose of:
  • Designating the Residential Character Study Area (located generally between Berwick Street and the railway line) as a Special Control Area.
  • Modifying Precinct Plans P5, P6, P10 and P12 to identify the location of the Special Control Area.
  • Including provisions applying to the Special Control Area, including the need for:
    • Development approval to demolish a single house constructed prior to 1946;
    • Development approval for building works visible from the street inclusive of a single house, additions to a single house, and other associated structures; and
    • Development to comply with the provisions of a Local Planning Policy adopted for the Residential Character Special Control Area.

A copy of the plans and documents are available on the Town of Victoria Park website at www.yourthoughts.victoriapark.wa.gov.au/rcsa and hard copies are available for inspection at the Town of Victoria Park Administration Centre, 99 Shepperton Road, Victoria Park, and the Victoria Park Library, 27 Sussex Street, East Victoria Park, during business hours. 
 
Submissions on the planning scheme amendment may be lodged in writing and should include the amendment number, the name and address of the person making the submission, the property affected and details of the submission and lodged with the undersigned on or before 18 January 2022.
 
Submissions can be lodged at the Town of Victoria Park Administration Centre located at 99 Shepperton Road in Victoria Park, by mail to Locked Bag 437 Victoria Park WA 6979, or by email to admin@vicpark.wa.gov.au
 
Please Note: The proposed scheme amendment is available for inspection and public comment, and it should not be construed that final approval will be granted. Your written comments are welcome and will be considered by Council who must then pass a resolution to support the amendment (with or without modification) or not support the amendment.
