Edward Millen Adaptive Heritage and Landscape Redevelopment
Located at 15 Hillview Terrace, East Victoria Park, The Edward (Ed) Millen Heritage Precinct is the heritage gem of the Town of Victoria Park. In February 2006, the site was gifted to the Town by the WA State Government for the purpose of “community, recreational or civic use.”
Since then, the Town has been committed to seeing the Ed Millen Precinct come back to life.
To achieve this, The Town has adopted an Adaptive Heritage and Landscape Redevelopment project approach. This will contribute to the preservation of the Ed Millen site’s rich history whilst building on its future as a sustainable, vibrant community and commercial asset for all Western Australians to enjoy.
To date, community consultation, conservation plan adherence, economic and environmental due diligence, a Park Masterplan, and a successful tender for property developer (Blackoak Capital Ventures) to reactivate the precinct’s core heritage buildings, have been undertaken.
