Online Form - Temporary Food Business Permit Application

A temporary food business permit (single or annual) is required to trade on public or private land within the Town of Victoria Park, under the Activities on Thoroughfares and Trading in Thoroughfares and Public Places Local Law 2000.

Please allow 14 days for your application to be processed. Applications received 7 days before an event are subject to late fees or rejection.

Food safety training and food handling

NOTE: All food handlers are required to have demonstrated food safety skills and knowledge under the Food Act 2008. If food handling staff have not completed any food safety training, the Town offers free online food safety training called FoodSafe (this has replaced I'm Alert). Food preparation storage and transportation

NOTE: Where you purchase fresh food on the day of the event, you may be requested to provide receipts as proof of purchase to an Environmental Health Officer on the day of the event. Your business may be required to cease trading should you fail to provide proof. Where you store leftover dry ingredients (e.g. spices, herbs, pasta, rice etc), you must be registered by your local government for the premises where you store these. Proof of registration with regards to storage is required.

NOTE: Where the event is a long duration or it will be a hot day, ice boxes/coolers may be refused as a means of keeping cold foods refrigerated. Please ensure you have alternative means of refrigeration available.
