Wilfred Hendriks

Ward: Banksia   Term: October 2023

I was born at St Ives in East Victoria Park in 1955, was raised behind my parent’s shop at 871 Albany Hwy and have lived in the Town my entire life.

I was educated at Our Lady Help of Christians from 1961 to 1964 and at Aquinas College from 1965 to 1972.

In 1973, I commenced work in my father’s photography business, Photo Hendriks. In 1978, I married Carol and moved to 105 Planet St, Carlisle, where we raised four children and still currently reside.

In 1985, my father, John Hendriks, passed away and with my brother Ron, we ran Photo Hendriks until 2000. I then continued to run Photo Hendriks until 2012 before accepting an offer to sell.

I studied naturopathy, graduating in 2017 and now run a naturopath clinic from home.

I enjoy playing football, golf, beach runs, bike riding and would love to play tennis.

I have volunteered for the Vinnies from 2014 till 2021 and have been a member of Victoria Park Rotary since 1986. I was heavily involved in establishing the Vic Park Mens Shed and now involved in the running the of the Vic Park Markets. In 2014, I was the recipient of the Victoria Park Australia Day Award.
