State government projects

Strategic planning for the whole of the Perth metropolitan region is guided by the Perth and Peel @ 3.5million land use planning and infrastructure frameworks which aim to accommodate 3.5 million people by 2050.

The Town of Victoria Park is located in the Central Sub-Region which comprises 19 local government areas.  The Central Sub-Region is forecast to grow to nearly 1.2 million people by 2050, achieving the State government’s infill target of 53% of all new dwellings to be built in existing urban areas. Growth in the Central Region is guided by the Central Sub-Regional Planning Framework.

An outline of the State government planning framework can be found below, including links to State Planning Policies and Design WA policies such as the Residential Design Codes and the proposed new Medium Density Code.
