Parenting Support and Playgroups

Ngala

Ngala Parenting Service offers state-wide parenting support from their head office in Kensington. Parenting services include online and phone parenting consultations, day stay and extended stay programs to learn how to overcome early parenting challenges, and the Ngala Parenting Line to support families of children from 0-18 years.

Communicare

Communicare Parenting Support Service offers evidence-based parenting programs, information sessions, groups and individual consultations for parents on children of all ages in the Town of Victoria Park and across the Perth South East Metro.

Child Health Nurses

Child Health Centres are located in Victoria Park and Lathlain. Child Health Centres are staffed by registered nurses and offer a range of services for parents with babies and young children. More information and contact details can be found on the Healthy WA website.

Playgroups

Playgroups provide a great way for children to interact with other children in play-based activities, whilst also giving parents and caregivers the opportunity to connect and meet other parents and caregivers. There are a number of community-run playgroups in Victoria Park and Lathlain which offer sessions at different times throughout the week. More information and contact details can be found on the Playgroup WA website.

Toy Library

Carlisle/Victoria Park Toy Library offers members a range of quality educational toys, games and puzzles to borrow for children aged 0–6 years – much like a usual library. The Carlisle/Victoria Park Toy Library is located at the Keith Hayes Community Centre and is open Wednesday 9.30–11am and Saturday 9.30–11am.
