Career Confidence: know your worth and thrive at work

Thursday 13th June 2024

Ages 15 to 25 | Free | Bookings essential

When you are looking for a job, it's not just about whether you are the right fit for the company, it's equally important to consider whether they are the right fit for you!

Young people are often put in challenging or unfair situations at work, because it's difficult to know what your rights are, what you should expect from a healthy and fair workplace, and how to start conversations about your salary, your hours, or other aspects of your job that can be uncomfortable.

We want to empower young people to know their worth at work, and to feel prepared to set clear boundaries and navigate important situations in the workplace.

In this workshop, facilitated by Purposeful, you'll learn about:

  • red and green flags in potential employers to ensure you are being treated fairly
  • tips for navigating tricky workplace discussions like negotiating your salary and hours
  • how to set reasonable boundaries to look after yourself and help you to perform better at work

Bookings are essential and can be done online, over the phone or in person.
