Expression of Interest - Audit and Risk Committee

The Town of Victoria Park invites Expressions of Interest for the appointment of external members to the Audit and Risk Committee. The Committee meets approximately four times per year.
The Committee’s Terms of Reference are:
- to support Council in fulfilling its governance and oversight responsibilities in relation to financial reporting, internal control structure, risk management systems and external audit functions and ethical accountability;
- to critically examine audit and management reports from external audits and ensure that the Town appropriately implements any actions;
- to receive and review reports prepared by the Chief Executive Officer in accordance with the Regulations and present a report to Council on its findings and recommendations.
Two unpaid positions are open for appointment, each for a period of two years (October 2023 to October 2025).
Applicants should possess:
- Senior financial management experience
- An understanding of internal and external audit processes
- An understanding of risk management.
