Temporary thoroughfare closures - Bank Street and Rutland Avenue

Published on Friday, 27 October 2023 at 6:00:00 AM

We would like to inform you about the proposed temporary thoroughfare closures within the Town of Victoria Park as part of the METRONET Victoria Park-Canning Level Crossing Removal Project. These proposed closures are essential for the relocation of waterpipes and are scheduled to take place from Monday, 4 December 2023 to Wednesday, 31 January 2024.

The proposed closures will be on Bank Street in East Victoria Park (between Mint and Dane streets) and Rutland Avenue in Carlisle (between Archer and Wakefield streets).

To minimise disruptions to local traffic, road modifications will be made to Mint and Archer streets, near the level crossing, to ensure traffic flow is maintained in both directions.

A reduction in speed and temporary road closures are necessary to safely undertake these works. Road conditions may be unfamiliar and motorists are asked to exercise caution, allow extra travel time and follow traffic management signage during this period.

Submissions may be lodged in writing to the project team by email (alucommunications@alualliance.com.au) or by post (Armadale Line Upgrade Alliance, 71 Ewing Street, Bentley, WA, 6102). The deadline for submissions is 5pm on Friday, 10 November 2023.
