Growing with Compost

Come along to the beautiful Vic Park Community Garden to learn about different ways to compost at home, for all sizes of home gardens.

  • Fun, informative and hands-on, with a garden tour and workshop.
  • We'll cover making compost heaps, weed tea, worm farms and bokashi.
  • Make beautiful soil and fertiliser for healthy thriving gardens with compost.
  • Turn weeds, bokashi and worm castings into liquid fertiliser.
  • DIY paper pots and pot up a plant to take home.
  • Morning tea included.

Please BYO gloves and wear closed shoes and a hat.

This workshop is part of the Town of Victoria Park's home composting initiative, and will allow you to qualify for the composting rebate of up to $100 for Town of Victoria Park residents (email kbenjamin@vicpark.wa.gov.au for more info).
