June: 'Take' hazardous items to the right place

Each month, we’re focusing on simple ways to waste less — and this June, it’s all about taking hazardous items to the right place.

Hazardous waste can pose serious fire and safety risks and should never go in your kerbside bins. This includes:

  • Batteries (especially lithium‑ion)
  • Aerosols
  • E‑waste
  • Paints, chemicals and motor oils

The good news is there are safe, easy ways to dispose of these items with designated drop‑off points — find your nearest location here.
