Skate facilities 

There are two skateparks in the Town: 

• McCallum Park is a key location for advanced and intermediate skaters, scooters and BMX riders with the provision of McCallum Park Skate Bowl and the fun box. (Please note: skate park is closed Nov 2024-early/mid 2025 for works on the McCallum Park Active Area project). 
• Portable skate ramps are also located at John Bissett Reserve. 
• There is a small skate plaza at Koolbardi Park.

Basketball courts

Basketball facilities are available at five parks in the Town:

• Half courts are available at Houghton Reserve, Rayment Park, John MacMillan Park and John Bissett Reserve. (Out-of-Town public full courts in the surrounding areas include: Mardalup Park Courts and Wellington Square).
• Three enclosed full courts can be found at McCallum Park. (Please note: these basketball courts are closed from 22 September for painting as part of the McCallum Park Active Area project). 
• Leisurelife has three indoor basketball courts for casual hire or team training sessions. For court availability head to the Leisurelife website.

Public ping pong tables

POP outdoor ping pong tables are found at five parks across the Town, with bats and balls stocked regularly.

• The ping pong tables can be found at Houghton Reserve, Hawthorne Park, John Macmillan Park, Rayment Park and John Bissett Reserve. 

Disc golf

Our popular disc golf course is located at Taylor Reserve. More information on the Disc Golf course, including the layout of the holes, can be found here.

Sport & leisure facilities

Leisurelife offers a range of programs for young people aged up to 14 years. Programs include junior sporting competitions, junior coaching and school holiday programs. You can also drop in and hire the indoor basketball courts.

Aqualife is the Town’s aquatic centre. Come for a casual swim or join the youth swimming program for young people aged 13 to 18 years. 
Sporting equipment can be hired at a low cost. The Town has an activity bundle containing a wide range of sporting and recreational equipment for hire.
