Optus Stadium is a multi-purpose world-class venue, with a commitment to a ‘fans first’ experience. With 60,000 seats, Optus Stadium is the third largest venue in Australia and was awarded the Most Beautiful Stadium in the World in the 2019 Prix Versailles international architecture awards.)

The Stadium hosts a variety of sports and entertainment events, including Australian Football League, International and Big Bash League cricket, soccer, rugby league and union, plus concerts. Surrounded by the Stadium Park, there is everything from nature playgrounds in the Chevron Parklands to the BHP Boardwalk and Amphitheatre, picnic areas for a family barbeque and public art.

The 370 metre long Matagarup Bridge opened in July 2018 and has been a vital link connecting the Burswood Peninsula to East Perth and the CBD ever since. The bridge design symbolises a ‘coming together of diverse cultures’. The flowing arches can represent a pair of black and white swans or the Wagyl, a water-serpent of great importance to local Noongar culture.

More than just a pedestrian bridge, Matagarup Bridge is a tourist attraction in its own right. Soon be home to a zip line and bridge climb experience, there is also feature lighting on the arches illuminating the bridge throughout the year.
