Mindeera Advisory Group 

Overview 

The Mindeera Advisory Group engages with the Town and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community to provide advice for the delivery of the Town’s evolving Reconciliation Action Plan.

Focus areas for the group have included:

  • Renaming parks and reserves in the Town
  • Identifying significant Noongar sites
  • Holding Town-wide ceremonies and celebrations of Whadjuk Noongar culture
  • Caring for country by planting native trees and shrubs throughout the Town, and
  • Partnering with local indigenous foundations, businesses and communities.
