Hockey Working Group

Overview 

The purpose of the Hockey Working Group is to advise Council on the future sporting requirements of the Victoria Park Xavier Hockey Club, including but not limited to:

  1. Locations within the Town that accommodate grass and/or synthetic hockey fields consistent with the Town's Public Open Space Strategy.
  2. Club house requirements including storage.
  3. Partnership opportunities with private and public institutions.
  4. Funding opportunities.

The working group comprises:

  • 3 Elected Members
  • 3 Victoria Park Xavier Hockey Club members
  • 1 Hockey WA member
  • 2 Community representatives, and
  • 3 Town officers

Expressions of interest are invited from interested people to fill the two community representative positions.

Are you a Town of Victoria Park resident?*


Are you a Town of Victoria Park ratepayer?*


The term of appointment of all members is 24 months. The group meets 3-4 times per year as required. Each meeting is approximately 1-2 hours and is usually held at 5pm at the Town's administration centre. Can you meet these requirements?*

Assessment criteria:

  1. Applicant demonstrates a strong interest in community sport
  2. Applicant demonstrates experience working in a collaborative manner
  3. Applicant possesses either relevant knowledge or experience in hockey club requirements, or experience working in a community group or on projects of community benefit.
  4. Applicants applying as community representative cannot have direct association with the Victoria Park Xavier Hockey Club
