Event Permits

Important - Event Permit System Transition

The Town of Victoria Park is transitioning Event Parking Permits to the new ePermits system. Existing permit holders (vPermit) must reapply through ePermits. Permits issued under the previous system will remain valid until: 30 June 2026. After this date, only permits issued through ePermits will be recognised.

Refund for Existing Permit Holders

Existing Event Permit holders may be eligible for a refund of the remaining permit period when applying for a new permit through ePermits.

To be eligible for a refund, your existing permit must be valid on or after 1 April 2026.

To allow the Town to verify eligibility, applicants must:

  • Apply for a new permit through ePermits
  • Enter their existing permit number from vPermit during the application process

Refunds will be processed once the new permit application has been submitted and verified.

System Transition FAQs

(*Temporary - valid until 30 June 2026)

Can I still access vPermit?

Yes. You can access the previous vPermit system here: https://vpermit.com.au/vicpark/

This is available for viewing existing permit details only, such as your permit expiry date or permit number.

Please note:

  • New applications and renewals must be completed through ePermits
  • vPermit is no longer used for new permits

Am I eligible for a refund?

You may be eligible for a full refund of your existing permit if it is valid on or after 1 April 2026.

How do I request a refund?

To request a refund:

  1. Apply for a new Event Parking Permit through ePermits
  2. Enter your existing vPermit number during your application

Once submitted:

  • The Town will assess your eligibility
  • If approved, your refund will be processed automatically

How long does it take?

Refunds are typically processed within 10–15 business days after your new permit has been approved.

How will I receive my refund?

Refunds are issued to the original payment method used to purchase the permit.

If your card has changed or expired, your bank may redirect the refund.

Do I need to follow up on my refund?

No. You do not need to follow up unless:

  • You have not received your refund after 15 business days, or
  • The Town contacts you for additional information

I didn’t receive any information about the new system - what should I do?

The Town has communicated the transition through multiple channels, including flyers, email, and website updates.

If you did not receive this information:

  • You can still register and apply through ePermits at any time
  • Customer Service can assist you if needed

Why do I need to apply again if my current permit is still valid?

The Town is transitioning to a new digital permit system. While your current permit remains valid until 30 June 2026, all new and future permits must be issued through ePermits.

Why is the refund a full amount?

To support a smooth transition, the Town is offering a full refund for eligible permits that are valid on or after 1 April 2026.

What if I don’t know my permit number?

You can:

  • Log in to the vPermit system to retrieve your details, or
  • Contact the Town for assistance

Will I lose parking access if I switch early?

No. Once your new permit is approved, your ePermits digital permit will take effect, ensuring continued parking access (subject to permit conditions).
