Loading Zone Permits

Loading zones within the Town of Victoria Park are generally restricted to commercial vehicles engaged in loading or unloading goods for a maximum period of 30 minutes. As these restrictions typically exclude private vehicles, the Town offers Loading Zone Permits to allow certain non-commercial vehicles to use loading zones when picking up or delivering goods.

This permit enables eligible users to temporarily use a loading zone with a private vehicle while actively loading or unloading goods.

Permit Application: $35 per permit
Fees are inclusive of GST and current until 30 June 2026.


How the Permit Works

A Loading Zone Permit allows the registered vehicle to:

  • Use designated loading zones within the Town of Victoria Park
  • Park for up to 30 minutes while actively loading or unloading goods
  • The permit does not remove the requirement to actively load or unload goods while using the loading zone.

Permits may be issued as digital permits linked to a vehicle registration.

How to Apply

Applications for a Loading Zone Permit must be submitted through the Town’s ePermits portal. Applicants may be required to provide documentation confirming the business location and eligibility for the permit.

Eligibility

Loading Zone Permits are intended for non-commercial vehicles that require temporary access to loading zones for operational purposes.

The permit is suitable for:

  • Businesses using private vehicles for deliveries
  • Individuals who require regular loading or unloading access

Commercial vehicles do not require a Loading Zone Permit when using a loading zone in accordance with standard loading zone restrictions.


Permit Conditions

Loading Zone Permit holders must comply with the following conditions:

  • Permits are valid for up to 12 months
  • Permits are restricted to non-commercial vehicles
  • Vehicles must be actively loading or unloading goods
  • Vehicles may only remain in the loading zone for a maximum of 30 minutes
  • All standard loading zone restrictions continue to apply

A Loading Zone Permit does not allow parking in other restricted areas, including:

  • No stopping zones
  • Clearways
  • ACROD bays
  • Bus zones
