The Town has received a development application for Carport addition to an existing Single House at the above-mentioned property.

In accordance with Local Planning Policy 37 – Community Consultation on Planning Proposals, you are invited to comment on the following:

  • Carport Posts – The Residential Design Codes prescribes the minimum setback distance of buildings from boundaries other than the street. The application proposes 300mm to the south-eastern (side) boundary, whilst 1m is required.
  • Carport Eaves - The Residential Design Codes prescribes the minimum setback distance of buildings from boundaries other than the street. The application proposes 230mm to the south-eastern (side) boundary, whilst 1m is required.

Please note the abovementioned matter/s will be considered based on the merits of the case, and with regard to the relevant design principles of the R-Codes and any comments received from directly adjoining owners and occupiers.
