Bulk and Green Waste Verge Collections
Thank you for your patience
We’re very pleased to confirm that the Town’s April-May bulk waste collection is complete.
We know the delays have been frustrating, and we want to say a genuine thank you to all our residents for bearing with us throughout the process.
Every street has now been cleared by our contractor, and we’re attending to a small number of non-permitted items as follows:
- Mattresses: our on-demand mattress contractor is working through any mattresses that were left out during the collection period. If you need a mattress collected, please book via our website at here. Mattresses left on verges without a booking will be treated as illegal dumping.
- Tyres and e-waste: our depot team is collecting these separately for appropriate disposal.
Illegal dumping
Now that the collection is complete, any new bulk waste left out will be treated as illegal dumping.
If you see illegal dumping in progress, please call our customer service team immediately on 9311 8111 so our rangers can attend. You can also report dumped waste anytime via our website here.
Thanks again to everyone for your patience and understanding.
New verge collection service
Please be aware that the Town is moving to a new on-demand verge collection service starting in the 2025-2026 financial year. This means residents will be able to book bulk and green waste collections at a time that suits them. The new service will roll out early in the new financial year. Please hold off placing green waste on your verge until we’ve announced full details of the on-demand service. Full details will be available in early July.
