The Town has received a development application proposing a change of use from Grouped Dwelling to Unhosted Short-Term Rental Accommodation at the above-mentioned property for a maximum occupancy of up to six (6) guests.

In accordance with Local Planning Policy 37 – Community Consultation on Planning Proposals, you are invited to comment on the following:

  • Proposed Use – An Unhosted Short-Term Rental Accommodation use is classified as an “A” (discretionary) land use within the Residential zone under Local Planning Scheme No. 2.

An “A” (discretionary) land use means that the use is not permitted unless the Town publicly advertised the application and exercised its discretion by granting development approval. 

The Town's will consider the application based on the merits of the case, with regard to the relevant planning matters for consideration, such as the Town’s Local Planning Policy 31 - Short Term Accommodation and any written comments received from owners/occupiers of adjoining properties.
