Menopause 101

The Victoria Park Library is running a month-long series talking about Menopause.
The topics touched on will include: Menopause and what is it, symptoms and treatments, exercise, nutrition and breast health. The sessions will be held after hours so topic can be discussed freely.

Bookings are essential and can be made online, in person, email or phone. Bookings are not confirmed until payment has been received.

Tuesday 05 March 6-7pm
Bo Youn Kim, experienced senior pharmacist from Fiona Stanley Hospital will begin the series covering:
• What menopause is, including symptoms, psychological and physical effects
• Impact of misdiagnoses and mismanagement of menopause
• Myths and misunderstanding of HRT treatment
• Treatment options and current evidence for menopause and symptom management

Tuesday 12 March 6-7pm
Join Michelle, our Healthy Community Officer, to learn about Physical activities and Exercise tailored towards Perimenopausal and Menopausal woman.

Tuesday 19 March 6-7
Join us as Dietitian Megan Hardy delivers a nutritional presentation focused on navigating the intricate journey of menopause. As we recognise the unique challenges that women face during this phase of life, our expert dietitian is here to guide you through evidence-based nutritional strategies.

Breast Scan WA will be joining us this evening to discuss breast health.
