Security Incentive Scheme
Applications: OPEN
The Security Incentive Scheme is designed to encourage residents, businesses, and community groups to improve the security on their property through the installation of a range of security devices, with the purpose of deterring and reducing intrusions, burglaries, theft, and property damage within the Town. Rebates up to the value of $500 are available.
To take advantage of the Security Incentive Scheme, applications need to include a valid receipt to show full payment within 12 months of the security item's installation.

Tips for getting the best price for your security devices:
- To ensure you get the best price, obtain a minimum of three (3) quotes
- Don’t feel pressured into signing a contract on the day
- Ask your insurance company if they offer security item discounts to members.

Policy 114 Community Funding
Terms and Conditions
- Devices must be installed within the Town of Victoria Park and remain within the Town.
- Applications will not be approved for improvements, repairs or additions to existing devices.
- If the applicant is not the property owner, there must be permission from the property owner or agent authorised to act on their behalf before the security device(s) are purchased and installed.
- One application per property will be considered each Financial Year.
- The applicant must not have any current outstanding debts or acquittals with the Town.
- Local, State, and Federal Government properties are not eligible for funding.
- Allocating funding to a project remains at the Town’s discretion. The Town provides no guarantee that a Security Incentive Scheme rebate can be provided to all applicants if the allocated budget is fully expended prior to the end of the financial year.
- Invoices for security devices must be paid in full.
- Devices purchased more than 12 months prior to submitting an application are ineligible for the program.
- The Town will rebate part of the cost of the security devices, up to $500. Allocating funding to a project remains at the Town’s discretion.
- Property investors are restricted to claim a maximum-security rebate of $500 per Financial Year.
- Strata's can receive larger rebates if they submit the application on behalf of the residents who installed upgrades. The strata must contact the town before installation.
- The devices must be fully paid for, and all forms be completed in full before the rebate is issued.
- Eligibility for upgrades on outbuildings such as sheds or granny flats will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
- If the applicant opts for a payment plan, seek advice from the Town.
- The applicant is ineligible if they are an elected member, staff of the Town or an immediate family member.
- The Town reserves the right to cancel rebate arrangements at any time if the above conditions have not been satisfactorily met. The Town is not liable for any cost incurred by the applicant.
- If the devices are not installed and the After Installation form is not completed within 90 days of a Town officer approving the Application, the application will be closed unless the applicant has requested an extension.

Apply
Complete the Security Incentive Scheme application form. Once you have submitted the online form. You will receive written confirmation from a Town Officer confirming your eligibility. Installation should not take place prior to approval by the Town.
Install
After receiving written confirmation from a Town Officer confirming your eligibility, you may proceed with installing your devices.
After Installation
Complete the Security Incentive Scheme After Installation form. You will need to attach a copy of the invoice showing proof of full payment for your device/s.
Review by the Town
A Town Officer will review your application in full to ensure that the Town has all the necessary information and that all of the Terms & Conditions have been met. The Officer will advise the outcome of the application in writing. In the event the Town requires more information, the Officer will contact the applicant.
Receive your Rebate
Your rebate will be transferred electronically to the account nominated on the application form.
