"No Paintbrushes" - Abstract Painting for Youth (12-25 years)

Friday 10th April 2026

No rules. No pressure. No “being good at art”.

This is a chill, hands-on painting session where you can just create without overthinking. You don’t need experience, talent, or confidence — just curiosity.

Instead of paintbrushes, you’ll use fun, unexpected tools like cardboard tubes, old toothbrushes, sea sponges, piksters, plastic bits and natural objects. Stuff that usually gets thrown away becomes part of your artwork. There’s no right or wrong way to do it.

Marie has years of experience working with young people through art and wellbeing, and creates a space that’s welcoming, supportive and judgement-free. Guiding you through what she calls “The Freedom Technique” — basically painting without stressing, judging yourself, or trying to make it “perfect”. It’s about letting your hands lead and seeing what happens.

Come on your own, with a friend, or as a low-pressure creative hangout. You might be surprised by what you make.
