Tree retention Planning Policies open for feedback

We all know that planting trees is important, but what about protecting the Town’s existing canopy?
Our proposed new policy aims to increase the retention of large trees on private property so their benefits can be integrated into new developments.
It’s not about ‘trees vs. development’ – it’s about striking a balance between protecting the most valuable canopy trees and enabling residents to manage vegetation.
