Join us on Saturday 28 March from 6-9pm at McCallum Park for P(ART)icipate: Arts and Culture Festival, an unforgettable evening of creativity, connection, and community. Discover immersive art, live puppetry, twilight markets and participatory installations that blur the line between audience and artist. 

Stroll through Lewis Horne’s Sculpture Park, a self-guided trail of glowing lanterns and luminous forms and take part in co-creating the breathtaking Everlasting Landscape flower lantern parade. 

Be captivated by Curious Legends’ spectacular Whale Song — a WA premiere celebrating the humpback migration through glowing puppetry and immersive soundscapes. This enchanting performance invites audience participation, offering the chance to become part of the story. Also experience Curious Legends’ other touring work, captivating and emotive roving performances that will bring the park to life. 

Unwind as you browse the specially curated Twilight Artisans Markets, featuring locally crafted goods and delicious cuisines.

What's on

Our Arts and Culture Festival is taking over the Town for one unforgettable night. Here’s a sneak peek at what you can expect:

🐋 Whale Song
A breathtaking WA premiere performance at the heart of the night — surrounded by lanterns, music and immersive activations.

🎨 Curious Legends Workshops
Get hands-on during the evening with interactive workshops. You could even be part of the Whale Song’s culminating main performance.

🌸 Lewis Horne's Sculpture Park
Explore major community sculptures, immersive light installations, Lewis’ past and present collections.

🏮 Lantern-making and parade
Interactive lantern-making stations. Make your own lantern and join the magical Everlasting Flower Lantern Parade on the night.

🎵 Bricks & Beats
Step aboard the mirrorball yacht — a giant DJ deck pumping beats while you take part in a LEGO® building competition.

🎤 Live entertainment
Enjoy performances from talented local bands. The stage is the perfect spot to chill-out if you’re after a more relaxed vibe.

Twilight artisan markets
Meet a lineup of incredible local makers, curated by MarketLife.

🍔 A delicious food hall
Grab a bite to eat from a range of delicious food trucks.

Hosted by the fabulous Famous Sharron, this event really does have something happening in every corner. From workshops to performances, markets, light and music, plus a whale-sized moment in the middle of it all.

Getting there

Driving

Parking, including ACROD bays, will be available at Taylor Reserve. As always, we do recommend using alternative transport where possible.

Walking or riding

If you live local, walking down to P(ART)icipate is the best way to go! If you'd prefer to ride your bike, bike racks will be available. A map will be available closer to the event date so you can plan ahead.
